Upcycled Cigarette Statement Necklace (Limited)

Meet the opener of Toothache’s 25-piece upcycling challenge.

This necklace is built around a repurposed gold-tone chain and vivid blue beads that were given a second life. At the center sits a novelty plastic faux cigarette giving a playful, slightly rebellious contrast that turns a simple chain into something you notice. It’s short and close to the collarbone, measuring approximately 17.25 inches and extending to about 18 inches with one extension link, so it sits like a soft choker or short statement necklace depending on your neck.

Every element was chosen and assembled by hand. The chain and beads are up-cycled; the cigarette is a new plastic novelty piece added purely for the look. No two are exactly the same. Only three of these exist, and each is a one-of-a-kind result of the challenge.

Notes
The cigarette is a plastic novelty piece and is not functional. The necklace is lightweight and meant for everyday wear or as a bold layering piece. Because the chain and beads are up-cycled, small variations in finish and bead placement are part of the character of the piece.
